Job Description

MLT Digital is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Account Director to manage and develop a portfolio of low-touch legal sector clients. This pivotal role combines client relationship management, strategic growth initiatives, and project management to ensure the success and satisfaction of our clients within the digital, AI-driven marketing landscape. 

We have an enviable high level of client retention due to years of open, honest and no-fluff client service. Many clients have remained for over 10 years and continue to grow and prosper through these strong relationships built on trust. These relationships were set up by the founding Directors and are precious to MLT. These also define our legal sector tenure and must be upheld and developed. You must be comfortable embracing the learnings and insights of our legal niche for prosperous client relationships.

Key responsibilities: ​

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of low touch, legal sector clients
  • Adhere to strict and accurate briefing, scoping, and delivery protocols
  • Develop and implement strategic digital marketing roadmaps/plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals, underpinned by performance data
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Content, SEO, PPC, Data, and Marketing) to ensure high-quality delivery of services
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand client accounts using AI driven market insights and gap analysis
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimisation and development
  • Lead client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating complex digital marketing concepts
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure client satisfaction and agency profitability
  • Stay updated on industry trends, particularly in AI-driven marketing, automations and agents for the legal sector

Required experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 7+ years in a leading client-facing role
  • At least 12 months working knowledge and experience of AI driven strategies and/or tools – ChatGPT mandatory, Claude, Gemini, Co-Pilot, Perplexity – familiarity is acceptable
  • Experienced level for Teamwork, Asana, Monday, or other project management software
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, content marketing, and social media
  • Experience in the legal sector or professional services industry is highly desirable

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Confidence and adaptability to navigate conversations with high-achieving professionals
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical professional clients
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
  • Proven record of accomplishment of managing and growing multiple client accounts simultaneously
  • Exceptional relationship-building abilities, with a focus on trust and long-term partnerships
  • Adaptability and resilience, particularly when dealing with demanding legal professionals
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Empathy and active listening to understand and address client needs effectively
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate to the Operations Director and/or Performance Director

Additional requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or related field 
  • Knowledge of WordPress, Weblium and Joomla platforms would be ideal but not essential 
  • Willingness to work in Glasgow City Centre Tue-Thu minimum weekly, 3 days out of 5 
  • 2 references
